Just recently started reading the light novel Ascendance of a Bookworm and frankly, I'm finding it extremely enjoyable. Unfortunately, only the first three light novels have been translated to date. Once I finished reading those novels, I started looking at the fan translations of the web novel.... Which ended at chapter 103 out of 677. Then apparently Flying Lines started using machine translation with very poor editing to continue, resulting in them translating chapters 104 through 133 of the web novel, but splitting them up into claimed chapters 104 through 127 (ick. The prior translations managed to keep a nice one to one correspondence). In any case, I continued to proceed to look directly at the machine translations and am finding the story extremely enjoyable. And I would like to spread that enjoyment to others, so I'm going to try my hand at editing a machine translation and provide access to other lovers of the web novel.
